J.P. Wiser’s Dissertation
J.P. Wiser’s Master Blender Dr. Don Livermore has blended 78 of the casks he used to research his doctoral thesis on the interaction between whiskey, time and wood in a new whiskey aptly named “Dissertation.” The blend is rye-forward, with the spicy notes of cinnamon and clove, as well as fruity ones like green apple and orange, with a long, pleasing vanilla-rich finish. We like it a lot. So did the judges at the 2017 World Whiskies Awards, in the UK, who anointed it World’s Best Blended Limited Release.
