Our 2017 Judges

CANADA’S 100 BEST RESTAURANTS ARE CHOSEN BY PEOPLE WHO ARE PASSIONATE AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT OUR VIBRANT DINING SCENE

Our national list of judges includes chefs, restaurateurs, journalists, gourmets and industry leaders.

Each was asked to submit a list of their favourite restaurants in the country. Those results were returned to an independent board at KPMG, and pooled to come up with a national ranking. The end result is the definitive temperature-check of our vibrant national restaurant scene. This year, we expanded the number of judges to 82.

The goal of Canada’s 100 Best Restaurants is to acknowledge those who lead with their skill and passion and who set higher standards when it comes to the business of dining out—those helping to build an even more dynamic Canadian dining scene.
