The Royal Blood

Recipe:

  • 2oz Woodford Reserve
  • 1oz Martini Rosso
  • .75oz Orange Turmeric Shrub *
  • 1 bsp Gomme Syrup
  • 1 dash Kensington Bitters
  • 1 dash Saline Solution

* 2:1 sugar syrup spiced with Turmeric (2% of total volume) let down with 1 portion orange juice. Spiked with apple cider vinegar (to taste).

This drink is an evolution of the first ever cocktail created for the bar on opening day: The Bloody Manhattan.

Lobby Lounge, Vancouver’s Fairmont Pacific Rim

Recipe:

  • 45ml Stoli Vodka
  • 15ml Fino Sherry
  • 22ml Lime Juice
  • 22ml Cucumber Syrup
  • 1 Dash Bittered Sling Cascade Celery Bitters
  • 45ml / Top with Ginger Beer
  • Garnish: Candied Ginger on a pick, Dehydrated lime if available
  • Glass: Collins

*Cucumber Syrup: Combine 500g (1pt) Cucumber Juice, 500g (1pt) Filtered Water, 1000g (2pt) White Sugar. Stir well to dissolve.

Coffee Oysters Champagne & À Toi, Toronto

Recipe:

  • 1oz Romeo’s Gin
  • 0.5oz Peche de Vigne
  • 0.5oz Vanille de Madagascar
  • 0.5oz Amontillado Sherry
  • 0.75oz Lemon Juice
  • 1 dash Bittered Sling Moondog Bitters
  • 2oz Sparkling Wine
  • Absinthe Flame

Glassware: Coupe

Garnish: Dehydrated Peach Slice

Method:

Combine all ingredients except champagne in shaker tin. Shake and double strain into coupe. Top with champagne. Flame with absinthe. Enjoy.

  • 1 oz Amontillado
  • 3/4 oz Calvados

  • <1/2 oz Lemon
  • 2 dash sandalwood

  • 1.5oz Bearface Whisky
  • 0.25oz China China Bigallet
  • 0.25oz Montenegro Amaro
  • 1 dash Western Haskap Bittered Sling bitters
  • 1/2 dash Plum & Rootbeer Bittered Sling Bitters
  • Stirred. On the rocks. Lemon twist.
