A sanitizing squirt of black spruce and giant kelp
No. 72

Kōv. Cooking up a better handwash.

All this scrubbing and sanitizing has us hoping that restaurants will start paying more attention to their restroom amenities. Kōv, a new high-end hand wash and moisturizer made from black spruce and giant kelp, is poised to answer that call and become the West Coast antidote to the ubiquity of Aesop. Launched during the pandemic and created by restaurant veteran Miguel Quezada (l’Abattoir, Savio Volpe, etc.) and his partner, Alicia Munro, the silky, punctiliously non-toxic Kōv formula packaged in cobalt glass bottles smells as fresh as a rainforest on the edge of the ocean.
