Opening the door to this Little Burgundy basement will reveal wonders. This discreet hi-fi lounge is kitted out with sweet acoustics and a vinyl-only sound system (including McIntosh MC901 Dual Mono amplifiers). A roster of DJs and jazz groups brings the room alive. Wood-panelled walls and earth-toned upholstery give mellow, vintage rec-room vibes. The cocktail list is slim but slick, featuring drinks with savoury flavours, from shiitake mushroom and tomato to jalapeño. That spirit of adventure is thanks to Émile Archambault (formerly of Le Petit Mousso), the first winner of Montreal’s Laurier Mixologist of the Year award, in 2019. Bring a date, stay late into the night.
