The aptly named Sans Soleil might be hidden in a windowless basement, but it’s buzzing with life. The 60-seat, candlelit speakeasy boasts a killer sound system (choice vintage stereo components and made-in-Montreal custom speakers) cocooned in vibration-absorbing cork panelling. DJs spin seven-hour vinyl-only sets every night, but the bar goes full dance party after 10:30 on weekends. Refuel with Japanese-inspired cocktails and soba from the restaurant upstairs.
