Do you have a food bucket list?
An inspiring article in the Telegraph called 50 Foods to Try Before You Die got us thinking that we’d better start planning our own food bucket list NOW. Their recommendations are based on food expert Mark Price’s book The Food Lover’s Handbook and seem to us to be an excellent jumping off point. Here’s a look at some of his picks – what’s on yours?
Frescobaldi Laudemio extra-virgin olive oil: Fruit-laden aroma and attractively grassy, followed by lush, full flavor of olives and green walnuts.
Fragaria moschata strawberries: Small and redolent of bubble-gum.
Dutriez Bar-le-Duc Jam: The most expensive jam in the world.
Domaine Leflaive, Bienvenues Bâtard Montrachet Grand Cru: The world’s most expensive Chardonnay.
Colston Bassett Blue Stilton/ Duchy Organic Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton: The gentle hand-ladling of curds results in a melt-in-the-mouth texture.
Shorthorn Steak: Extreme aged steak that gourmet types have fallen hard for.
