Brasserie Dunham

Approximately 90 minutes southeast of Montreal, a stone’s throw from the Vermont border, sits one of the country’s most progressive breweries. Sébastien Gagnon opened the space in 2011, then brought aboard Éloi Deit (the former brewer of Cheval Blanc) to help define this Eastern Townships brewery’s style. Housed in an old stagecoach inn, its atmosphere is casual and the beer list is always overflowing with curiosity-piquing pours. Instead of standard pilsners or blonde ales, expect wild-fermented or barrel-aged brews. Malted barley, raspberries, cherries and other raw ingredients are sourced locally. This spot is well worth the mileage.
Drink
Anything barrel-aged, or the Saison Framboise, refermented with fresh local raspberries.
