Honi Honi

In the middle of Edmonton’s skyscraping Ice District is a tropical oasis, complete with thatched décor, tiki torches and drinks served in the requisite coconuts and pirate-chest or skull cups. It’s not a mirage and definitely not just a gimmick — this is an earnest love letter to the tiki tradition. Cocktails are faithful to the school of Trader Vic, Beachbum Berry and other titans of tiki: Mai Tais, Zombies, Swizzles and Scorpion Bowls are boozy but balanced. Everything that can be made in house is, from 18 different cocktail syrups to the hot dogs on the menu. Hawaiian shirts are optional but welcome.
