A Collection of Cool Summer Cocktails

Beat the summer heat with a collection of cool summer cocktails featuring top-notch spirits like Flor de Caña, Herradura, Don Julio, and more. These refreshing recipes combine the finest ingredients with expert craftsmanship that elevate your summer get-together.

Flor de Caña Millionair Mojito

  • 1 1/2 Parts of Flor de Caña 12
  • 1/2 Part of fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 Part passion fruit juice
  • 2 Tablespoons of sugar
  • 1 Basil sprig
  • 2 Parts of sparkling water
  • 8 Ice cubes 

Glassware: Highball

Preparation:

Straight into the glass, introduce the basil, sugar, lemon and passion fruit, gently mash with a mortar, then add the ice followed by Flor de Caña 12, fill with sparkling water. by Flor de Caña 12, fill with sparkling water.

Herradura Tiki Mule

  • 1 1/2 oz. Tequila Herradura Silver
  • 1 oz. Fresh Lime Juice
  • 3/4 oz. Passionfruit Juice
  • 1/2 oz Coconut Syrup
  • Ginger Beer
  • Edible Flowers (garnish)
  • Stick of Lemongrass (garnish)

Preparation:

Add Herradura Silver, lime juice, passionfruit juice and coconut syrup to a shaker. Add ice and shake vigorously. Strain into a tiki glass filled with crushed ice. Top with ginger beer. Garnish with edible flowers and a stick of lemongrass.

 

Woodford Spire

  • 1.5 oz Woodford Reserve, Straight Bourbon Whiskey
  • 2 oz Lemonade
  • 1 oz Cranberry Juice

Preparation:

Add ingredients to a mixing glass and stir. Pour over ice. Garnish with a lemon twist.

Fever Tree Bourbon Basil Lemonade

  • ¾ Fever-Tree Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade
  • ¼ quality bourbon

Glass: highball

Garnish: Basil & lemon wheel

Preparation:

Gently muddle 5-6 fresh basil leaves in a glass then fill the glass to the brim with ice. Add bourbon and Fever-Tree’s Sparkling Sicilian Lemonade and stir delicately. Garnish with a fresh basil sprig and a lemon wheel.

Makers Mark Kentucky Buck

  • 2 parts Makers Mark Bourbon
  • 1/2 part fresh lemon juice 
  • 2-3 whole strawberries hulled
  • 1 dash Angostura Bitters
  • Ginger Beer
  • Fresh strawberry for garnish

Preparation:

Muddle strawberry in a shaker. Add Makers Mark, lemon, bitters and shake. Strain into an ice-filled glass. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a strawberry.

Dillon’s Matcha Highball

Preparation:

To make the matcha, whisk together 1 teaspoon of matcha powder and 2 ounces of hot water. Allow to cool.

Add all of the ingredients {sans soda} to your cocktail shaker, add ice and shake for 15-20 seconds.

Strain into a highball or Collins glass, top with soda water & garnish with lime wheel.

Altos Tommy’s Margarita

  • 50ml Altos Tequila Blanco, 100% agave
  • 25ml Lime juice, freshly squeezed
  • 15ml Agave syrup (you can always adjust to your taste)
  • Salt rim (optional)
  • Lime wheel to garnish

Preparation:

Chill your glass in the freezer or fill it with ice Add tequila, agave syrup and lime juice to your cocktail shaker Fill with ice and shake for 10-15 seconds or until the outside of your shaker feels cold Run a lime wedge on the rim of your chilled glass, then dip it in the salt to coat Wipe any excess with a napkin (we don’t want any salt in our cocktail) Strain your cocktail into the prepared glass and fill it with ice Garnish with a lime wedge and enjoy.

Don Julio Sandia Margarita

  • 1.5oz Don Julio Blanco tequila
  • .75oz Cointreau
  • 1 cup watermelon juice
  • Ice
  • Watermelon wedges for garnish (optional)
  • Tajin for garnish (optional)

Preparation:

Fill rocks glass with ice and set aside. In a cocktail shaker add ice, Don Julio tequila, Cointreau, and watermelon juice – shake to combine. Strain into rocks glass. Take watermelon wedges and dip each side in tajin. Place on glass or in beverage as garnish.
