Comfort Food for Frontline Workers

Some of Canada’s best chefs are feeding doctors, nurses, and hospital staff across the country in a project started by MD Financial Management Inc. (MD) in partnership with Scotia Wealth Management and in association with Canada’s 100 Best.

No one needs support more these days than those working on the front lines of the COVID-19 outbreak. With hospitals in crisis, the idea was to show overworked healthcare workers some culinary affection. MD felt it could make a difference by delivering delicious, healthy food to hospital workers because many hospital cafeterias are closed and staff working around the clock have little time to eat well.

 So far, nearly 600 meals have been served and counting.

The initiative is about showing gratitude and providing comfort to those working so hard to save lives by treating them to a gourmet meal.

While showing appreciation for healthcare workers, this initiative also supports local restaurants in communities where Canadian physicians and healthcare workers live and work.
