Hot New Travel Destinations For 2025

What are the hot new travel destinations for 2025? Here’s a round-up of the hotels our editors are lusting after.
Six Senses La Sagesse
St. David’s Parish, Grenada

The wisdom of Six Senses in choosing La Sagesse for its first Caribbean location is readily apparent to anyone who has seen this unspoiled crescent-shaped beach. The eco-resort’s 15 villas and 56 suites are geared for the enjoyment of coddled seclusion.
Les Vagues
Arcachon, France

This modern glass-and-concrete structure with stylish minimalist interiors stands out from the surrounding mid-19th-century villas in this seaside resort town. Its restaurant, L’Écume, serves oysters from Arachon Bay, which it overlooks, and the rooftop bar specializes in low-intervention wines from the local vineyards of Bordeaux.
Sutton Place
Toronto, Canada

Torontonians who remember the original Sutton Place – the de facto HQ for what was then the Festival of Festivals – are happy to see the brand locally resurrected, coincidentally, near the TIFF Lightbox. At the original hotel, a young chef Mark McEwan made his name; the new one is anchored by Abrielle, a Mediterranean restaurant helmed by Andres Jaramillo.
Janu
Tokyo, Japan

While this new design-focused eight-floor hotel in the toney Azabudai Hills neighbourhood has just 122 rooms, it features no fewer than eight (!) distinct dining destinations. Patisserie, bar, grill, mercato, Cantonese, sumibiyaki, edomae sushi and afternoon tea room – it’s all here. For those inclined to overdo it, Janu also has one of Tokyo’s largest gyms and a wellness centre.
Cowley Manor Experimental
The Cotswolds, U.K.

Steeped in regal history, Cowley Manor was built in 1695, was owned by English kings (until one swapped it for the land on which to build Westminster Abbey) and served as inspiration for Wonderland (Alice’s). In 2023 the Experimental Group stepped in, adding just the right amount of contemporary flair. Jackson Boxer (Brunswick House, Orasay) now runs the kitchens.
