Upon opening in 2009, Maenam broadened Vancouverites’ understanding and appreciation of Thai cuisine. Taiwan-born chef Angus An worked in London at Nahm (the world’s first Thai restaurant to receive a Michelin star) and travelled extensively in Thailand. Dishes are intensely flavourful. While the à la carte menu is excellent, committing to the family-style chef’s menu is highly recommended.
