George Brown College Centre for Hospitality and Culinary Arts next In Conversation panel series will feature the man widely considered to be Mexico’s best chef, and you’re invited. It may be the next best thing to eating at Mexico City’s Pujol. Olvera has influenced a generation of chefs and is revered for his reinvention of traditional Mexican cuisine. In his second English-language book, Tu Casa Mi Casa (Phaidon), Olvera’s focus is on authentic Mexican recipes easily prepared at home. The April 10th panel is your chance to discover the traditional techniques and true flavours of this vibrant cuisine from one of the best chefs of his generation. Food and travel writer Suresh Doss will moderate.
Tickets are available online for $75 plus HST and ticket processing fees, including a free copy of Tu Casa Mi Casa signed by Chef Olvera. Doors open at 6:00 pm and In Conversation with Enrique Olvera begins promptly at 6:30 pm.
