Cafe Gigi and Dirty Laundry are a two-in-one special
Robin Goodfellow’s new venture is a two-in-one special, cocktails start at Cafe Gigi, a stay-all-day, European-ish cafe on Queen St. West in Toronto. (It’s in the former Cold Tea space.) Drinks are built for daylight, the space is warm and the patio is large — and plates of pintxos and cicchetti are malleable to your mood and hunger level.
After 5 p.m., head next door to Dirty Laundry — a high-velocity cocktail bar in a lofty industrial space. Sports will be shown on weekends, Tex-Mex bites will satiate cravings and “every flavour margarita” will be available. Prices address inflation — cocktail prices wroll back to $12 or $13. Joining Goodfellow (Bar Raval, PrettyUgly, Vela) is an equally seasoned hospitality vet: Aldo Pescatore-Tardioli (La Carnita, Sweet Jesus).
