Shangri-La’s Taste of the Six: Momofuku’s Jed Smith

October 19th brings Momofuku chef Jed Smith to the final Taste of the Six at Toronto’s Shangri-La Hotel.

Created as a celebration of  Toronto’s vibrant food scene, Taste of the Six is the dinner series with a cause from Toronto’s Shangri-La Hotel.

For the final collaboration, Toronto will welcome its friendly neighbour Jed Smith from Momofuku. English-born Smith began his career in London under the esteemed tutelage of the chefs at Sketch restaurant. In 2010, he moved to New York to join the team at Momofuku Ssäm Bar. After a stint in Montreal working for Chef Martin Picard and Vincent Dion-Lavallée at Cabane à Sucre Au Pied De Cochon, Jed relocated to Toronto as one of Daishō’s opening Sous Chefs, before transitioning to Shōtō.

This culinary series is in support of Sustain Ontario, a province-wide, cross-sectoral alliance that promotes healthy food and farming. They provide coordinated support for productive, equitable and sustainable food and farming systems that support the health and well-being of all people in Ontario through collaborative action.

Taste of the Six takes place October 19th, 2017 at 7:00 pm at Bosk Restaurant
