Graceful Japanese minimalism meets boisterous Bavarian beer hall in a hospitable taproom owned by brewmaster Luc Lafontaine (of Dieu du Ciel! fame), who is obsessed with perfection. The Czech lagers are rigorously authentic, as are the Japanese influences: A citrus saison is kissed with yuzu and the Ochame IPA is touched by green tea. Sake, highballs and Pearl Morissette wines round out the bar. The signature Milko is a full pint of thick, sweet, creamy foam served from side-pull draft faucets.
