The Canadian Le Cordon Bleu 2016 Scholarship winner will be awarded a fully funded placement within the coveted Diplôme de Cuisine program at Le Cordon Bleu Ottawa Culinary Arts Institute.
To complete this outstanding prize, the winner will also carry out a paid internship under the guidance of esteemed Chef Yannick Anton at the renowned Cordon Bleu Signatures restaurant in Ottawa.
This is truly a once in a lifetime prize worth in excess of $30,000! Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at the Final CookOff Competition. Scholarship Finalists had 4 hours to complete the final exam of a famous Alumna, Julia Child, consisting of three dishes: “Mollet” eggs in Béarnaise sauce, veal chops “en surprise”, and Madeira sauce and caramel custard. The judges scored the dishes based on five components: presentation, technique, taste, hygiene and organization.
