The raven is a trickster figure in Coastal First Nations beliefs, but here the sculptural metal figurehead above the backbar is benevolent. It gazes over tempting goodies, like Fernet Hunter BC, a special edition of the modern amaro made in collaboration with Endeavor Snowboards’ founder. This indie gastro-tavern, owned by two local couples, elevates the average ski-village bar with high-concept drinks like the Carol Baskin, a Tiger King–themed hot toddy (whiskey, rum, banana liqueur, Guinness syrup and chocolate bitters). Or you could always just cruise into après by crushing local beer and potato puffs.
HIGH FIVE Cheers to five years (opened 2019).
