Arlo is one of Centretown’s busiest dining rooms. Customers flock for ever-changing menus that exemplify playful but potent ingredient-focused Canadian cuisine — paprika-roasted cod with white beans, ajo blanco and watercress, or beef tataki and barbecued eel with chili, pickled shallots, crispy sweet potato and aïoli. The wine list leans natural. While the front room and bar are packed and buzzy, booths in the back are more intimate; in summer it’s all about the leafy back terrace.
