Calgary chef Roy Oh — his much-missed modern Korean restaurant Anju made the Canada’s 100 Best list three times running — is finally back, with Roy’s Korean Kitchen. The takeout-only business sells Anju favourites, like the crave-worthy gochujang wings and lettuce wraps, along with a rotation of new seasonal dishes. “It was never meant to be permanent, but this brand has evolved into something,” Oh says. Part of that evolution is the addition of retail products. His kimchi, pickles, marinades and aïolis are being picked up by select Calgary stores. Watch for them under the brand Roy’s Korean Kitchen.
