This is a bar doing double duty: Italian comfort food by day, Taiwanese street snacks at night. Just a small open kitchen and a homey little bar, all washed in a nostalgic popsicle palette. Simpl Things doesn’t fit into the average bar mould, but it all comes together with Evelyn Chick’s creative cocktails that make the familiar taste new. Think Melon Baller Martinis — with fino sherry and apple-fennel cordial — and strawberry-Campari Americano Spritzes.
