Chefs For Change Host Five Mid-winter Feasts

Chefs for Change brings together some of Canada’s most inventive chefs for a mid-winter feast

Some of Canada’s best chefs have organized a five-night dinner series to help thaw its guests’ possibly frozen social life, as well as build healthy food access in low-income communities.
Dubbed Chefs for Change, the net profits from the mid-winter feasts will support the work of Community Food Centres Canada (CFCC).

Currently, CFCC operates eight centres nationwide. Last year, the organization served more than 143,000 meals, hosted 414 community kitchen sessions and more than 1,000 community garden sessions.

Each dinner, a collaboration of eight chefs, is presented with themes of grow, cook, share, advocate and come together. Propeller Coffee Roastery (50 Wade Ave., Toronto) hosts all five events.
